Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering or IT experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline
- Proven production experience managing deploying and scaling Kubernetes clusters
- Working knowledge of a public cloud platform such as GCP AWS or Azure
- Hands-on experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus Grafana Jaeger Dynatrace Datadog ELK or Stackdriver
- Experience leading large-scale automation initiatives using CI/CD tooling
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools Kubernetes operators and deployment pipelines
- Strong understanding of cloud-native security best practices and compliance frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive adoption of platform standards

Day to day
- Lead the Kubernetes Platform Services team to deliver a secure scalable and automated container orchestration platform for Ford
- Own the design deployment and lifecycle management of Kubernetes clusters across on-premise environments with strong attention to availability security and resource efficiency
- Partner with developers platform engineers and infrastructure teams to improve self-service provisioning troubleshooting observability and developer experience
- Drive standardization automation and continuous improvement across container platforms while aligning with Ford’s broader cloud-native strategy
