Who you are

• Previous experience managing and recruiting other software engineers
• Experience hands-on experience building and maintaining a complex back-end application
• Strong communication skills for interfacing with non-technical stakeholders and occasionally with customers
• Familiarity with principles of high-quality code, including continuous integration, declarative and functional programming
• Well-versed in agile or lean planning and project management processes

What the job involves

• Manage a team of several developers working on minware's core application
• Provide career guidance and conduct performance reviews for engineers
• Conduct interviews and play an active role in growing the team
• Review code, participate in sprint meetings, and provide guidance to ensure that engineers are meeting product and technical requirements
• This is a player/coach role, so you will spend part of your time working on development tasks as part of the team
• Work closely with product managers and customers to define minware's capabilities
• Design and architect new system components
• Manage a backlog of tech debt reduction and internal efficiency improvements.
