Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering or related field or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of professional experience in software testing
  • Advanced knowledge of functional integration regression and performance testing
  • Experience with test automation using Python and automated test frameworks
  • Strong working knowledge of Linux and troubleshooting tools
  • Ability to analyze logs traces and system artifacts
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams with developers and other engineering disciplines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication with technical stakeholders
  • Ability to manage priorities in fast-paced development environments
  • Experience with test management and defect tracking tools is an asset
  • Familiarity with DOCSIS broadband access virtualization IPv4/IPv6 networking timing and synchronization concepts is a strong asset
  • Experience with VoIP and PacketCable service validation troubleshooting and provisioning in cable broadband environments including HFC networks

Day to day

  • Test vCMTS software features end to end across distributed and containerized platforms.
  • Design and execute manual and partially automated tests for functional integration regression interoperability performance recovery and stability.
  • Analyze logs traces and system artifacts to isolate defects validate DOCSIS networking behavior and improve release readiness.
