What the job involves

• Advising on and ensuring compliance with global data privacy laws and regulations including CCPA state privacy legislation GDPR and other relevant laws and industry standards
• Monitoring and interpreting evolving privacy legislation and regulatory requirements
• Drafting and updating consumer facing terms including privacy notices representations settings FAQs terms of service and other policies and UI features related to user data
• Develop implementing and maintaining privacy policies procedures and standards for the company
• Collaborating with product and engineering teams to integrate privacy considerations into the design and development of new products and features providing practical and business-oriented legal advice to internal business teams
• Reviewing and maintaining records of processing activities and conducting privacy impact assessments PIAs and data protection impact assessments DPIAs
• Advising internal clients on development collection use transfer and governance of user data and identifying potential privacy or other regulatory risks
• Serving as a point of contact for privacy inquiries from end users vendors partners and other stakeholders
• Reviewing and negotiating data processing agreements and privacy terms in a variety of other agreements
• Drafting reviewing and negotiating vendor contracts commercial contracts and contracts with strategic partners and/or handling other legal matters
