Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- At least 3 years leading internal tooling platform engineering or modernization efforts
- Proven success delivering AI-powered developer tools with measurable impact
- Deep understanding of modern software development practices languages and environments including Java TypeScript CI/CD and cloud infrastructure
- Strong architecture and system design skills including build-vs-buy decisions
- Ability to influence collaborate across disciplines and lead by example at senior or principal level
- Exceptional cross-functional communication skills and ability to translate technical work into business value
- Passion for improving developer experience with a practical AI mindset
- Experience evaluating AI tools and models across quality cost latency security and workflow fit
- Familiarity with tools like Claude Code GitHub Copilot AWS Q or similar generative AI platforms
- Experience applying AI and automation to code review test generation migration acceleration developer assistance or release automation with measurable improvements

Day to day
- Lead the vision design and rollout of AI-driven developer tools that modernize the engineering ecosystem.
- Build and own internal platforms for code review test generation migration automation and CI/CD copilots to improve productivity and code quality.
- Establish evaluation frameworks governance guardrails and repeatable workflows that safely scale AI-assisted development across the R&D organization.
