Remote Sr. Software Architect Job in United States New American Funding

Who you are

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or work-related equivalent
• 12+ years of software development experience
• Proven work experience in an architect or similar role
• 7+ years of experience contributing to the architecture of new and current systems
• Experience writing documentation and creating UML, architectural and data flow diagrams
• Proficiency with .NET Core, (C#), React and Angular
• Proficiency in Azure Cloud including App Services, Functions, Service Bus, Monitoring, Cosmos DB, Blob Storage, Event Grid, ElasticSearch, SQL Server
• Experience building integrations with vendors, and in-house APIs
• Expert knowledge in performance, scalability, enterprise system architecture, and engineering best practices
• Knowledge in latest architectural patterns to build resilient micro-services
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills working across multiple geographies

Desirables

• Certified with Microsoft Azure Solution Architect and/or Azure Development practices
• Experience optimizing applications or systems to maximize performance at scale
• Working knowledge of Banking, Financial Services or FinTech
• A deep understanding of cross functional teams
• Experience in production deployments and resolving production issues

What the job involves

• Guide software development teams by promoting best practices, design patterns, knowledge, and tooling
• Define and champion the long-term architectural vision to build resilient and performant systems
• Provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, and engage in team planning meetings
• Document new and existing systems to add to our knowledge base
• Build solutions to address challenges faced by other teams within the organization
• Work with vendors to evaluate software and solve integration challenges
• Stay up-to-date with developing technologies and introduce new tools and methodologies
• Collaborate with DevOps engineers to establish robust observability standards
