Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with deep hands-on .NET and C# work including both .NET Framework 4.8 and modern .NET
- Strong grasp of object-oriented design design patterns and modern software engineering practices
- Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server including complex queries stored procedures and performance tuning
- Experience with full stack on-premises software delivery where the customer controls the upgrade
- Experience on large long-lived complex codebases
- Experience writing unit tests and a point of view on what makes a test worth keeping
- Git dependency injection and working knowledge of Agile delivery
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and build and release tooling ideally including GitLab
- Track record of mentoring other engineers
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English and comfort working across time zones
- Practical experience using AI coding assistants on production work and the judgment to know when not to

Day to day
- Design and build new capabilities for a mature, widely deployed .NET automation platform
- Translate product requirements into technical specifications, implementation plans, test plans, and release plans
- Diagnose and fix complex cross-component defects across desktop client, server components, and database layers, while keeping the platform healthy and supportable
- Mentor engineers, raise code review standards, lead projects when needed, and help the team use AI tools effectively
