Requirements

  • Degree in an engineering field, computer science, or relevant technical professional experience
  • Deep knowledge of technical software development processes, either through professional software engineering experience or computer science coursework
  • 3 years professional experience as a technical product manager, product manager, software manager, software engineer, and/or business analyst, with several experiences owning the entire product development cycle from ideation to launch
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to understand technical complexities well enough to converse successfully with a wide range of technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills: ability to process data into actionable information and ability to consider the complexity and cost of different approaches to problems
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Background/experience in querying databases, database design, data mappings, and data migration strategy
  • Understanding of APIs (Application Programming Interfaces), CI/CD pipelines, and modern service-oriented architecture designs

Nice to have

  • Microservice design and/or cloud infrastructure experience (preferably Azure)
  • Background/experience in at least one programming language (i.e. Java, C#, Python, Golang, etc.)
  • AzureDevOps experience (or similar tool)

Day to day

  • Engage with internal teams (Enterprise Architecture, Software Engineering, and Product Management) to understand and qualify opportunities for platform reliability, operational efficiency, and modernization
  • Drive consensus and decision-making and prioritize the technical services initiative roadmap using qualitative and quantitative data
  • Drive technical product vision, innovation and strategy and own technical initiatives across the Product Development Lifecycle
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and engineering teams to define, develop, execute and maintain product roadmaps
  • Develop technical product specifications covering value, use cases, scenarios, and features for products to improve the technology platform
  • Deliver non-functional requirements of the system including application telemetry, performance, reliability, resiliency, and security
  • Create release plans, including coordination of prototypes/pilots with required resources
  • Define product performance KPIs and relentlessly iterate to improve success measures
  • Work with Architects, Product Managers, Dev Managers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters and others within Agile processes to document requirements, and ensure consistently technical requirements are understood
  • Coordinate vendor review and selection, then guide the collaborative relationship throughout implementation to ensure quality
  • Clarify requirements and remove obstacles for Software Engineering
  • Ensure delivery of roadmap features carefully aligning to organizational definitions of done
  • Provide effective written and verbal updates on the products and key projects to senior leadership and stakeholders
