Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering Software Engineering Information Systems Data Science or related field or foreign equivalent
- Minimum 10 years of industry experience focused on backend and data engineering
- Experience designing and operating distributed data systems using microservices architecture
- Strong understanding of scalability fault tolerance performance and observability best practices
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
- Track record of writing high-quality maintainable code across multiple services and teams
- Strong leadership skills with ability to mentor and support engineers
- Excellent communication analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing or ambiguous requirements
- Ability to work independently take ownership and drive complex projects to completion
- Experience with AWS serverless technologies such as SST CDK or Terraform
- Experience with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB
- Experience with stream processing such as Kinesis or DynamoDB Streams
- Experience developing backend services using TypeScript and Node.js
- Experience deploying and managing applications on public cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP

Day to day
- Lead the architecture and design of complex distributed data systems that power fan experiences
- Build and maintain scalable fault-tolerant microservices for real-time and batch processing
- Develop high-performance REST APIs and data models across SQL and NoSQL databases while driving data quality observability and reliability
