Requirements
- BS MS or PhD in computer science related field or equivalent practical experience
- 6+ years building production backend software with experience shipping and operating ML-driven functionality
- Strong mastery of data structures and algorithms with judgment to translate user needs into practical solutions
- Hands-on depth with LLMs and agentic systems including prompt and context engineering tool use retrieval and RAG
- Broad ML experience including PyTorch and defining evals to measure and improve quality
- Fluency authoring production APIs in Python; Rust is a plus
- High agency bias to action in ambiguous fast-moving problems
- Curiosity generosity and love of teaching that lifts a whole team
Day to day
- Own AI-driven products end to end from prototype to production, ensuring they are reliable and mission-ready
- Design and build distributed agentic systems including tool-using conversational agents multi-turn context retrieval-grounded reasoning and orchestration at company-wide scale
- Transform messy real-world data into trustworthy signals through entity recognition linking relation extraction summarization semantic search and knowledge-graph generation
- Take models from checkpoint to production by packaging deploying and operating low-latency high-concurrency inference that performs reliably under real load
- Build evals and labeled-data flywheels to measure improve and steer quality while partnering across teams to shape roadmap and resolve root-cause issues
