Requirements
- 7+ years in building scalable distributed systems
- Experience with OOP languages and one scripting language
- Agile methodology experience
- Complex SQL query writing skills (PostgreSQL a plus)
- API framework experience (Spring Boot)
- Big data infrastructure experience (Hbase, RDBMS, Redshift)
- Database optimization techniques
- Public cloud hosting experience (AWS preferred)
- Familiarity with modern build tools
- Amazon Web Services experience preferred
- Experience with scheduling services (Airflow, Oozie)
- ETL and data modeling experience
- Developing prototypes and proof-of-concept systems
- Strong analytical, technical, and communication skills
- Prior technical leadership or mentorship experience

Day to day
- Design, implement, and support major components of the backend data.
- Define data aggregation methods and maintain high availability and performance.
- Create mechanisms, systems, and software to support data availability.
