Requirements
- 8+ years building software across multiple areas
- Strong understanding of browser internals including DOM APIs event loop SPAs and CORS
- Experience building browser extensions with content scripts background scripts message passing and manifest v3
- Strong TypeScript skills
- Comfortable in Python
- Willingness to write Rust
- Experience with data at scale including event streaming pipelines and high throughput ingestion
- Backend knowledge of APIs Postgres Elasticsearch and Kafka or similar
- Ability to work independently and self-direct
Nice to have
- AI security interest
- Detection engineering background
- Security ops experience
- Security tools experience
Day to day
- Own features from detection idea to production across browser extension backend and data pipeline code
- Write content scripts and background scripts that interact with web pages coordinate messages and handle edge cases
- Build backend services for event ingestion enrichment alerting and high throughput detection processing
- Collaborate with security researchers to convert threat intelligence into practical detections and improve team quality through reviews and design discussions
