Remote Staff Software Engineer, Systems Engineering Job in UK Equinix

Who you are

• Experience in a modern coding language like Go, Rust, or Ruby/Ruby on Rails
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and other container services
• Experience with distributed systems at scale
• Experience with testing and qualifying software, firmware, and server hardware components for production use
• Ability to identify problems in the interaction between Operating Systems and firmware/BIOS
• Basic experience with BIOS, BMCs, UEFI, and PXE boot
• Experience in creating fast feedback loops with CI/CD and testing automation
• Experience with Agile software development practices including Scrum, JIRA, Peer Review, Git
• Basic understanding of how networking works and how virtual defined networking works

What the job involves

• Design and develop software networking features for Equinix Metal, a bare metal cloud that scales and interconnects across the Equinix ecosystem.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product capabilities for customers.
• Provide technical leadership to evolve software networking features, driving simplicity, high-reliability, and ease of maintenance and operation.
