Requirements

  • Significant experience in stakeholder engagement partnerships or external relations within humanitarian development or policy sectors
  • Proven experience building and managing relationships with NGOs donors UN agencies or private sector actors
  • Experience planning and delivering high-profile events convenings or collaborative initiatives
  • Experience contributing to policy advocacy or influencing work
  • Experience working within a membership organisation network consortium or similar is desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build trust and credibility
  • Strong judgement tact and diplomacy when handling sensitive issues and competing perspectives
  • Clear confident written and verbal communication adapted to different audiences
  • Strong facilitation and convening skills with diverse stakeholders
  • Demonstrated organisational and programme management experience across multiple workstreams
  • Ability to work independently manage competing priorities and operate in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of organisational awareness and collaborative working across teams

Day to day

  • Lead stakeholder engagement across policy and programme work, building trusted relationships that strengthen GISF’s influence and collaboration.
  • Plan and manage major convenings, steering groups, and the Drones Roadmap initiative, keeping partners aligned and actions moving forward.
  • Develop and oversee commercial partnerships, advocacy support, and engagement plans that turn organisational priorities into practical collective action.
