Who you are

  • Understanding and knowledge of DB pensions and member benefit calculations
  • Background in the pensions industry
  • Technically focused with willingness to keep updated on emerging pensions developments
  • Good analytical, investigative, and numerical skills
  • Experience of using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
  • Ability to communicate effectively (writing and orally)
  • Customer service driven
  • Ability to balance priorities and workloads while meeting service-level agreements and managing customer expectations

What the job involves

  • Deliver calculations, data, and reporting under the buy-in/buy-out operational framework
  • Calculate member’s benefits, using insurer factors and checks of amounts received from insurers
  • Produce clear and accurate benefit specifications, other data extracts, and provide complex calculations and solutions to queries to improve member experience
