- 15+ years hands-on experience building and maintaining complex web applications
- Direct responsibility for multiple major projects from inception to production and operation
- Multiple projects in portfolio worked on for more than 2.5 years
- Clear technical communication with senior engineers and non-engineers
- Expert PHP developer 12+ years with Symfony or equivalent
- 10+ years modern JavaScript with React or Vue Next or Nuxt a plus
- Expert level knowledge in at least one more programming language Python a plus
- Full-stack architecture expertise monoliths services and hybrids
- Cloud deployment and scaling experience AWS preferred
- Expert Linux user and daily containerized workflows with Docker
- Expert in infrastructure automation Terraform Ansible
- Power user level CI/CD pipeline and release workflow ownership
- Experience in automated testing unit integration E2E TDD where appropriate
- Expert knowledge of web security fundamentals auth authorization data protection secure coding
- Legacy and modern codebase fluency with incremental modernization
- Strong independent technical ownership and accountability

Day to day
- Own complex engineering problems end-to-end from problem framing and design through delivery and iteration
- Build new features and improve existing ones across web platforms while keeping systems reliable performant and maintainable
- Work hands-on across backend and frontend systems participate in deep technical discussions and help drive sound trade-offs
- Refactor legacy and modern codebases pragmatically identify inefficiencies and streamline workflows with strong technical ownership
