Role

Who you are

Strong understanding of sound software development disciplines gained through industrial experience
Experience leading a team of developers and offering technical and working practice guidance
Ability to translate high-level requirements into detailed actionable tasks
Solid industrial coding experience in Java and/or C#
Instinctive employment of good code version and branching practices
Beneficial but not essential experience with Selenium and/or Playwright
Experience managing source code and continuous build
Effective communication and ability to guide less experienced team members
Experience in disciplined software development

What the job involves

Lead a small squad of test automation engineers to develop reusable test automation components
Ensure good development practices as the team produces a 'product' rather than just tests
Monitor progress and quality of work provide technical guidance and intervene when necessary
Turn high-level requirements into detailed working requirements for the team
Guide the team in structuring software appropriately and identifying reusable components
Harness experience in industrial coding with sophisticated programming features such as generics closures and async execution
