Role


Who you are

  • Minimum of one shipped video game title
  • Able to tackle complex projects without guidance
  • Well versed in common UX practices in video games and strong background in user-first thinking
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent professional experience in graphic design or related field
  • Strong knowledge and demonstrative skills within Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash/After Effects, and other UI authoring software
  • Working knowledge of game engines, specifically Roblox and UEFN
  • Awareness of current digital graphic design trends
  • Strong grasp of art principles and game development pipelines and practices
  • Portfolio demonstrating a breadth of visual creativity in both interface and graphic design
  • Effective communication skills

Desirables

  • Experience in creating intuitive UI for Roblox or another platform
  • 3+ years of UI art/design experience
  • Being a gamer
  • 3D and/or VFX experience
  • Experience in XAML and HTML5


What the job involves

  • Design and champion the UI and UX for the project and communicate the high-level vision and creative goals for UI/UX
  • Create concepts, mockups, and pitches for in-game User Interfaces, including features, flow, layout, design and iconography
  • Design game interfaces that complement and develop each game's style with a focus on new events and updates
  • Execute all aspects of in-game User Interface from layout mockups, wireframes, style-guides, and motion graphics
  • Collaborate closely with producers, art directors, and programmers to ensure a consistent, high quality user experience
  • Play through game content and analyze many games to understand a wide variety of approaches to UI and UX
  • Author and implement final UI assets that conform to the established art style and design vision
