Remote Undergraduate/Graduate Intern - Junior Research Software Engineer for Grid Operations Planning Job in United States National Renewable Energy Laboratory

Who you are

• Minimum 3.0 GPA
• Enrolled or recently completed a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in a relevant technical field
• Coding experience in Python, Julia, SQL, and MATLAB preferred
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in teams
• Must upload school transcripts during application process

Desirables

• Coursework in power or energy systems
• Domain knowledge of bulk or distribution power system modeling
• Experience with power system tools

• Interns will join the Grid Planning and Analysis Center for various terms
• Engage in different research projects and contribute based on interests and skillsets
• Work includes developing models, analyzing grid system data, and contributing to reports and technical papers
• Develop visualizations to communicate research results
