Who you are

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering Mathematics or a related field
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C++ C# or Python
• Strong understanding of physics principles especially as they apply to vehicle dynamics
• Experience with physics engines such as Havok PhysX or Bullet
• Familiarity with game development tools and pipelines (Unity Unreal Engine)
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Passion for video games and a desire to create immersive gameplay experiences

Desirables

• Previous experience working on vehicle simulation projects in the gaming industry
• Knowledge of advanced mathematics including calculus and linear algebra
• Experience with 3D modeling and animation software

What the job involves

• Designing implementing and optimising the physics systems that govern the behaviour of various vehicles and diverse vehicle types for our games
• Developing and implementing vehicle physics systems using Chaos (UE)
• Collaborating with game designers to understand gameplay requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Optimising vehicle physics algorithms for performance and realism
• Conducting testing and debugging to ensure accurate and reliable behaviour of vehicles
• Working closely with artists to integrate vehicle models and animations with physics systems
• Providing technical support and assistance to other team members as needed
• Staying updated on the latest advancements in vehicle simulation technology and techniques
