Who you are

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience in voice engineering and telecommunications with expertise in Nortel and Cisco voice systems
• Strong understanding of VoIP protocols and technologies including SIP RTP and H.323
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) Cisco Unity Connection and Cisco Voice Gateways
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities

What the job involves

• Assist in planning and executing the transition from Nortel to Cisco voice infrastructure
• Evaluate existing Nortel voice systems and develop migration strategies to Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) platform
• Configure and deploy Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) and other Cisco voice components to support VoIP services
• Integrate Cisco voice systems with existing network infrastructure and applications
• Optimize voice network performance and quality of service (QoS) parameters to ensure optimal voice call quality and reliability
• Troubleshoot and resolve voice-related issues and outages in a timely manner
• Document configurations procedures and best practices for voice system administration and operation
• Provide training and support to end-users and IT staff on the use and management of Cisco voice systems
