Requirements
- Minimum 5 years current and continuous experience in teaching assessing and internal quality assurance in Education and Training
- Current relevant occupational competence within the workplace for at least 5 years
- Knowledge and understanding of the Learning and Skills Teacher standard
- Relevant qualification at or above the level being assessed such as PGCE or Certificate in Education
- Experience of leading meetings structured interviews and discussions
- Experience of complying with quality assurance and regulatory requirements
- Evidence of commitment to maintaining CPD in line with apprenticeship requirements and EPA specialism
- Hold a minimum Basic DBS certificate registered for the update service
- Willing to travel to employer locations for face-to-face practical assessments
- Minimum of two working days during the week required for EPA role
- Excellent written verbal and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and codes of practice
- Sufficient and relevant technical knowledge of the telecoms industry
- In-depth knowledge of the apprenticeship standard assessment plan specification assessment instruments and recording tools
- Ability to assess free from bias
- Ability to assess and report risks
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Have personal IT equipment capable of running Pearson required software
- Have suitable broadband connection microphone headphones and webcam
- Have a personal and secure email account
- Have a postal address in the United Kingdom or Republic of Ireland Guernsey Jersey or Isle of Man

Day to day
- Conduct independent end-point assessments for Learning and Skills Teacher apprentices in line with Pearson’s assessment plan and grading criteria.
- Carry out assessments onsite or remotely, record outcomes accurately, and provide clear justifications for grading decisions.
- Participate in training and standardisation, maintain CPD, report risks or malpractice, and support quality assurance and appeals processes.
