6+ years experience in public policy, legal, or a related field preferably with a focus on privacy, technology, and digital policy
Strong understanding of the tech industry, privacy, and digital policy landscape
Proven track record working effectively with multidisciplinary teams of engineers, product managers, and other technical experts
Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex privacy issues clearly
Strong negotiation and advocacy skills with a track record of effective external representation
Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in public policy, law, or a related field; advanced degree preferred

What the job involves
Collaborate with internal product and engineering teams to provide expert advice on public policy implications related to privacy-focused products and advertising technologies
Proactively identify public policy challenges and provide advice to mitigate risks
Develop positive relationships with internal stakeholders to integrate privacy policy considerations into the product development process
Represent Mozilla in external forums and engage with policymakers on privacy policy issues
Translate complex technical concepts into actionable policy insights and recommendations
Build and maintain documentation on privacy regulatory requirements and policy considerations for various markets
Coordinate with global policy, legal, marketing, and communications teams to ensure consistency in privacy policy positions
Monitor and communicate internally about emerging privacy policy issues and regulatory developments
