Requirements
- 6+ years experience in public policy, legal, or a related field preferably with a focus on privacy, technology, and digital policy
- Strong understanding of the tech industry, privacy, and digital policy landscape
- Proven track record working effectively with multidisciplinary teams of engineers, product managers, and other technical experts
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex privacy issues clearly
- Strong negotiation and advocacy skills with a track record of effective external representation
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in public policy, law, or a related field; advanced degree preferred

Day to day
- Collaborate with internal product and engineering teams to provide expert advice on public policy implications related to privacy-focused products and advertising technologies
- Proactively identify public policy challenges and provide advice to mitigate risks
- Develop positive relationships with internal stakeholders to integrate privacy policy considerations into the product development process
- Represent Mozilla in external forums and engage with policymakers on privacy policy issues
- Translate complex technical concepts into actionable policy insights and recommendations
- Build and maintain documentation on privacy regulatory requirements and policy considerations for various markets
- Coordinate with global policy, legal, marketing, and communications teams to ensure consistency in privacy policy positions
- Monitor and communicate internally about emerging privacy policy issues and regulatory developments
