Requirements

2+ years of security functions
Experience with AWS or other cloud service providers
Familiarity with NIST, OWASP, CSA, ISO frameworks
Knowledge of TLS/SSL infrastructure and protocols
Experience with YAML scripting and configuration languages
Familiarity with logging services, assessment, alerting
Strong Linux and MacOS security understanding

Nice to have

CISSP, CCSP certifications
SANS certifications (GCIH, GCIA, etc.)
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud-native services
Experience with SSO/SAML, OAuth
Familiarity with automated testing and continuous integration
Experience with Terraform IaC
Knowledge of Snyk, Dependabot, Burp Suite
Data pipelines, data lakehouse familiarity
Experience with MDM or Mobile Security tools

Day to day

Design and implement new security controls for insulin pumps and CGMs
Support and ensure a HIPAA-compliant security environment
Respond to RFIs and questionnaires from clinics and organizations
Collaborate with engineers to establish priorities and operational security
Maintain security operations and defense-in-depth security across platforms

Mission

Tidepool is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to making diabetes data more accessible, actionable, and meaningful for people with diabetes, their care teams, and researchers through our open source software which includes: Tidepool Web, Tidepool Uploader, and Tidepool Mobile. Tidepool Loop is a project to build and support an FDA-regulated version of Loop, to be available in the OS App Store, intended to work with commercially available insulin pumps and CGMs. Tidepool Loop is not currently available for use.
