Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering related field or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of professional Python development experience
  • 3+ years building production applications with Django or similar CMS frameworks
  • Experience designing high-volume distributed backend systems
  • Hands-on experience operating production systems on AWS
  • Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL query optimization indexing strategies and performance tuning
  • Experience with caching strategies such as Redis or Memcached
  • Experience with asynchronous task processing
  • Track record of resolving complex performance bottlenecks in production
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Day to day

  • Design and develop cloud-native backend systems and microservices that power a high-scale SaaS platform
  • Contribute to system architecture decisions, evaluate trade-offs, and improve service boundaries for scalability and resilience
  • Build and operate reliable AWS infrastructure while proactively diagnosing performance bottlenecks and production issues
  • Write comprehensive automated tests, document technical decisions, and collaborate through code reviews and agile ceremonies
