Requirements
- Significant professional experience in software engineering
- Experience writing testing and deploying robust backend services in strongly typed languages
- Hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP
- Proficiency with Kubernetes
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform
- Strong curiosity for systems and distributed applications
- Ability to work with ambiguity in a fast-paced team

Day to day
- Build and maintain core platform infrastructure that powers Monzo's microservices
- Work hands-on with Kubernetes AWS GCP and Terraform to run scalable reliable cloud systems
- Design backend services controllers and tooling that simplify infrastructure for other engineers
- Support complex projects such as migrations high-scale traffic management and security tooling
