Requirements

  • 8 - 10 years of backend development experience with JavaScript TypeScript or Node.js
  • Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and API design for performance
  • Strong command of SQL databases and familiarity with NoSQL databases
  • Experience with AWS services such as Lambda SQS RDS and EC2
  • Exposure to Docker and container orchestration such as Kubernetes
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field
  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles algorithms and data structures
  • Experience with code versioning tools such as Git
  • Ability to troubleshoot optimize and scale server-side systems
  • Clear communication of technical concepts to team members and stakeholders

Day to day

  • Own and evolve backend systems that power Foodsmart’s platform and support member-facing experiences and internal clinical workflows.
  • Design build and operate reliable scalable and secure backend services APIs and data infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with frontend engineers product teams and stakeholders to translate requirements into efficient solutions and debug production database and server-side issues.
