Deeply understands both Eastern European & North American cultures
Fully own all pillars of People: Hiring, HR, Training and Compensation
Certified in either SHRM-SCP or SPHR
No requirement for a US work visa
Must be able to travel to the US
Minimum of 15 years People experience including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role preferably as VP of People
Experience managing a team of 15-50 members
Previously held a VP position at a tech cloud startup with 200-600 headcount
Reported to CEO/COO/CFO not Chief People Officer
Ability to work flexible hours
Located in the CET timezone with availability to overlap with US working hours
What the job involves
Oversee the recruitment process to ensure the organization attracts, hires, and retains top talent
Implement programs for professional development, leadership training, and career progression to enhance employee skills and engagement
Design and manage performance review processes to ensure alignment with organizational goals, providing feedback, and addressing performance issues
Develop competitive compensation and benefit plans to attract and retain employees
Maintain positive employee relations, resolve conflicts, and ensure a healthy work environment
Promote a diverse and inclusive workplace
Align the organization’s structure, culture, and workforce with its strategic objectives
Ensure the organization complies with all local and country employment laws and regulations
Develop, implement and revise HR policies and procedures to meet the organization’s needs and comply with legal standards
Use data and analytics to make informed decisions about workforce management, planning, and optimization
Foster a positive organizational culture that promotes employee engagement and satisfaction
Participate in strategic planning at the executive level, aligning people strategies with business objectives
